BlockDAG Network removed its Keynote 6 video from the project’s keynote page days after the presentation introduced a new BDAG token and a second presale starting at $0.002.
The video was still available on BlockDAG's website two days ago but is no longer displayed on the project's keynote page. The page currently shows only Keynote 1, released in March 2024, although other parts of BlockDAG's website still contain references inviting users to “Watch Keynote 6.”
The removal follows a major change to the sale announced during Keynote 6. BlockDAG initially priced Stage 1 of the new presale at $0.002 per BDAG, with 25 stages leading to a final presale price of $0.05 and a $0.10 “launch reference.” The $0.002 Stage 1 price was also promoted in BlockDAG marketing published around August 13.
By August 16, however, BlockDAG was promoting BDAG at $0.00002, 99% below the $0.002 Stage 1 price announced three days earlier. The new offer advertises direct coins with no vesting and removes the previous bonus and promotional-code structure, telling buyers there are “no bonuses” and “no codes.”
At $0.002, $100 bought 50,000 BDAG. Under the new $0.00002 offer, the same $100 buys 5 million BDAG, or 100 times as many tokens.
Keynote 6 Introduced New BDAG and a Second Presale
BlockDAG announced its Fresh Start plan on August 13, introducing New BDAG alongside the existing token, which the project began referring to as Legacy BDAG.
As TheHolyCoins reported following the keynote, New BDAG was given a maximum supply of 150 billion tokens. Of that amount, 50 billion were allocated to existing users, 50 billion to mining rewards, 25 billion to the new public presale, and 25 billion to ecosystem development. BlockDAG said the new allocation did not include a separate team allocation.
Under the original announcement, the new presale was supposed to begin at $0.002 and increase through 25 stages before reaching $0.05. The $0.002 starting price implied a fully diluted valuation of $300 million based on the 150 billion maximum supply.
Eligible participants in BlockDAG's original presale were also told they would receive an allocation of New BDAG without surrendering their Legacy BDAG. Exchange buyers were excluded, while BlockDAG did not publicly disclose the formula used to divide the 50 billion New BDAG reserved for eligible existing users.
The newly advertised $0.00002 price changes the valuation substantially. If it applies to the same New BDAG with a 150 billion maximum supply announced during Keynote 6, it would imply a fully diluted valuation of $3 million, compared with $300 million at the original $0.002 Stage 1 price.
