On May 5, 2025, Best Wallet updated its whitepaper, significantly changing the expected token launch date for the $BEST token. Originally scheduled to conclude on May 30, 2025, the crypto presale is now listed as running until December 31, 2025, with the number of presale rounds increasing from 100 to 150.

The update, made less than a month before the original presale end date, affects key details that potential participants in the Best Wallet presale may have relied on when purchasing the $BEST token. We did not find any press release, blog post, website update, X (Twitter) post, or pinned official message in the Best Wallet Telegram group that addresses the change. Yet the change is already reflected in the newly published whitepaper. The Best Wallet team is anonymous at the moment, and a previous investigation by TheHolyCoins raised potential connections between the project and other companies in the crypto space.

Best Wallet Crypto Presale Terms Quietly Modified in Updated Whitepaper

In the original version of the whitepaper, dated before May 5, 2025, the crypto presale terms were defined as follows:

“The $BEST token starts in a public presale at a price of $0.0225 per token and rises incrementally with each stage, for a total of 100 stages, or until sold out. The final stage is scheduled to end on 30 May 2025, but the presale may conclude early based on demand.”

In the revised version, this section now reads:

“The $BEST token starts in a public presale at a price of $0.0225 per token and rises incrementally with each stage, for a total of 150 stages, or until sold out. The final stage is scheduled to end on 31 December 2025, but the presale may conclude early based on demand.”

There was no revision log, changelog, or summary published alongside the update to explain the modification. Additionally, we couldn't find any clause, either in the old version or the updated one, that explicitly states the Best Wallet team reserves the right to amend the whitepaper or alter presale conditions during the sale. Even if such a clause were included, the legal validity of retroactive changes made during an active presale could be subject to regulatory scrutiny.

The whitepaper also includes the following disclaimer:

“The prospective holder should base any decision to purchase Best Wallet Token on the content of the crypto-asset whitepaper as a whole and not on the summary alone.”

This wording indicates that the whitepaper is the core reference for token sale decisions, even according to the Best Wallet crypto project. Changing key presale information without a public explanation could impact expectations around transparency and fair treatment during the offering.

Best Wallet Whitepaper Changes and MiCAR Compliance Requirements

The Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR) is the European Union’s legal framework for crypto offerings, aimed at protecting crypto investors and ensuring transparency. Since Best Wallet appears to accept participants from the EU in its $BEST token presale, MiCAR’s rules about whitepaper content and disclosures may apply.

Under MiCAR, the whitepaper serves as a regulatory document designed to ensure clarity, fairness, and transparency for potential investors. Article 15(1) of MiCAR states:

“Where an offeror … has infringed Article 6 by providing in its crypto-asset white paper or in a modified crypto-asset white paper information that is not complete, fair or clear or that is misleading, that offeror … shall be liable to a holder of the crypto-asset for any loss incurred due to that infringement.”

In this case, presenting a new presale end date of December 2025 in the whitepaper, after previously stating May 2025, could be viewed as misleading or no longer fair under Article 15(1), mainly if earlier purchasers relied on the original timeline.

In addition, Article 12(3) requires the following:

“On the date of publication … the offeror … shall immediately inform the public on its website of the notification of a modified crypto-asset white paper … and shall provide a summary of the reasons for which it has notified a modified crypto-asset white paper.”

At the time of writing, we couldn't find a notification or summary on the Best Wallet website or within the Best Wallet crypto app. If EU residents are participating in the $BEST token offering, this lack of disclosure could raise questions about compliance with MiCAR’s standards for communication and transparency.

Community Reaction to the Extended Best Wallet Launch Date

Following the May 5 update to the whitepaper, users in the Best Wallet Telegram group commented on the change. For example, on May 14, a user identified as “y h” wrote:

“You guys change it”
“Yeah right, updated with 7 months extra.”

Another user named “Cambro” wrote as well on May 14:

“The $BEST whitepaper has been updated without a public announcement. We are currently over 100 presale cycles in, and as of today, the release of $BEST is expected after 150th presale round.”

Customer support responses appear to acknowledge the traditional crypto presale structure and the digital token launch date. In February 2025, a Best Wallet support team member with the user named "$OTB Web3" responded to a crypto investor:

“You're correct. The information stated that it would be coming to an end with 100 stages by end of May… So yes, however, it's expected to end early based on demand which has made the end date inconclusive.”

In May 2025, after the updated whitepaper was published, the same support member, probably not familiar with the change, wrote a message stating:

“Hey buddy, according to the white paper, the presale is expected to end by 30th of May. More updates will be shared soon. Kindly stay tuned.”
“The token sale is expected to end by 30th of May. The sale is currently ongoing.”

The last message still referred to the original timeline, suggesting the support team may not have been aware of the update. Some members of the Best Wallet crypto app community have expressed frustration over the lack of communication, primarily due to the crypto presale extension affecting token launch expectations.
