Bitcoin Hyper released a faucet supplying test tokens after opening its browser wallet for testing. A testnet bridge is planned next, ahead of the scheduled November 26 HYPER token launch.
Bitcoin Hyper released its testnet faucet on October 30, 2026, allowing users to request free test HYPER tokens for use on its testing network. The release follows the project's browser wallet and explorer, with a testnet bridge planned for the following week.
The faucet supplies tokens for testing only. Bitcoin Hyper said they have no monetary value and are separate from the official HYPER tokens it plans to launch.
To request tokens, users enter their Bitcoin Hyper testnet wallet address, wait for Cloudflare verification, and click “Send tokens.” The tokens are intended for experimenting with the network through the project's wallet.
Bitcoin Hyper placed the bridge next in its rollout, saying it planned to release it the week after the faucet announcement. That places the planned release in the week of November 2–8.
Bitcoin Hyper Opens Browser Wallet for Testing
The wallet release dated October 23 opened the browser extension for community testing. Bitcoin Hyper distributes it as a ZIP download containing an unpacked extension, which users must install manually.
Installation requires extracting the downloaded folder, opening the browser's extension settings, enabling Developer mode, and selecting “Load unpacked.” Users then choose the extracted wallet folder to add the extension to their browser.
The wallet announcement scheduled the faucet for the following week. Its October 30 release followed that sequence.
Earlier Testnet Releases and Presale Timeline
Bitcoin Hyper began its six-week testnet rollout on October 8, publishing network details and an RPC endpoint, the connection applications use to communicate with the network. An explorer announcement dated October 15 followed, introducing a tool for viewing transactions and network activity.
The original schedule placed the wallet in week three, the faucet in week four, the bridge in week five, and a staking dashboard in week six. The planned bridge was described as connecting Bitcoin Hyper with Ethereum, Solana, and Bitcoin.
Bitcoin Hyper describes its proposed network as a Bitcoin Layer-2 using the Solana Virtual Machine, software that runs smart contracts and applications. Its HYPER token is intended for transaction fees, staking, and governance.
The presale opened in May 2025. On October 8, Bitcoin Hyper extended fundraising to Q2 2027, citing remaining development, optimization, audits, and testing. After investor backlash, the project reversed the extension on October 12 and set November 26 as the token launch date.
At a current presale price of $0.0136877 and a HYPER total supply of 21 billion HYPER, the token has an implied fully diluted valuation (FDV) of $287.44 million. Most crypto projects launching with such a high FDV see a sharp price drop after launch.
