BlockDAG Network, a proof-of-work Layer-1 blockchain that combines Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) structure with Bitcoin-style mining, released its “GO LIVE Reveal” on June 13, 2025. While many community members expected this announcement to include final details on the BlockDAG listing date and all 20 planned crypto exchanges, the actual release focused on a 6-week launch plan beginning with the closure of the BlockDAG presale and ending with post-listing activity.
The BlockDAG crypto project has been in presale for over 14 months, raising over $300 million. Its goal is to build a blockchain infrastructure powered by miners, developers, and DeFi tools, with a claimed user base of 140,000 token holders and over 1.5 million X1 miners. The project runs on its proprietary consensus mechanism and launched its “Primordial beta testnet” in March 2025.
Alongside the launch plan, the BlockDAG team published a letter from CEO Antony Turner, as well as a 1:52-minute video of him addressing the community. In the video, Turner highlights the $300 million milestone among other updates and thanks supporters. The BlockDAG letter does not refer to the launch plan or provide new exchange listing details. Instead, it reiterates previously announced milestones such as the BlockDAG Academy, hackathons, and the upcoming NBA team sponsorship.
6-Week BlockDAG Launch Plan Outlines Token Release Timeline
The BlockDAG launch plan begins six weeks before the BDAG token launch date, starting with the end of the presale. During this phase, users are allowed to convert X1 and TAP points to BDAG, complete staking, and perform KYC wallet migration.
Four weeks before the BlockDAG listing, the production mainnet is deployed internally. Three weeks before launch, community node setup begins, and hash power is distributed. Two weeks before listing, the vesting smart contract is executed, releasing 40% of the presale tokens. DeFi components like a DEX, lending protocol, cross-chain bridge, and a BlockDAG launchpad are also deployed.
A week before launch, early-stage dApps are expected to go live, and exchange integrations are completed. A marketing push follows. At listing, BDAG will trade exclusively for seven days on a lead exchange before expanding to approximately nine more exchanges.
The Never-Ending BlockDAG Presale
The BlockDAG presale, since its launch, has been backed by an aggressive marketing campaign filled with countdown timers and dramatic language. About a month ago, on May 11, the BlockDAG team announced on its X account:
“🔥FINAL 48 HOURS — BDAG @ $0.0019! Exchange Announcement Incoming + Presale ENDING!🔥
The countdown is real. THIS. IS. NOT. A. DRILL. 😱”
But the countdown wasn’t real, and the presale didn’t end after 48 hours. Instead, the BDAG token price changed to $0.0020 and later dropped to $0.0018. The “exchange announcement” expected at that time was delayed to June 13 as part of the GO LIVE Reveal Plan. That announcement listed only five out of the promised twenty exchanges, and the BlockDAG listing date was still not announced.
On May 14, the BlockDAG team announced again on X:
“📅Full GO LIVE Reveal: June 13 Presale
💰Price stays frozen at $0.0020 until June 13 — then the market takes over.“
But again, BlockDAG didn’t stand by their word. No new exchange listings were announced, and the market didn’t take over, meaning that the presale didn’t end, and BDAG is still far from launching, with no confirmed launch in sight.
BlockDAG Community Expresses Frustration Over Delays
Following the June 13 release, many community members expressed their disappointment on social networks such as X and Telegram regarding the BlockDAG crypto project, particularly over the ongoing presale and the lack of a clear token launch timeline. While many were expecting a confirmed launch date, presale closure, and full disclosure of all 20 cryptocurrency exchanges, the rollout is now scheduled to extend across the next several weeks.
