On April 9, 2026, crypto investigator ZachXBT replied to a post on X (Twitter) that was later deleted by its original author. His reply repeats earlier claims connecting the crypto gambling platform Spartans, entrepreneur Gurhan Kiziloz, and the crypto project BlockDAG Network.
Spartans is an online casino and sports betting platform that accepts cryptocurrency payments. It operates under Nexus International and offers gambling services, including slots, table games, and sports betting, using digital assets.
In his reply, ZachXBT wrote that the co-founder of Spartans is Gurhan Kiziloz and said that Kiziloz is also behind BlockDAG Network. He described BlockDAG as a “sketchy project” and claimed it raised more than $300 million from retail investors through social media ads that showed unrealistic returns and misleading partnerships.
He added that the BlockDAG token sale has been running for more than two years. According to his post, presale funds were being off-ramped through Middle Eastern OTC channels during that period. He also wrote that Kiziloz was spending heavily on luxury cars, real estate, watches, and giveaways while the token sale was ongoing.
ZachXBT further said that search results for Gurhan Kiziloz mostly show paid PR articles. He referred to his earlier reporting in October 2025, in which he said he had exposed BlockDAG leadership as figureheads and claimed that Kiziloz was acting as a hidden co-founder. He added that after that report, he was blocked and that Kiziloz later publicly confirmed involvement in the project.
He also wrote that between 10 and 15 individuals contacted him directly, claiming they lost money in connection with BlockDAG. Based on this, he said he would “100% stay away from any business” associated with Gurhan Kiziloz.
The reply included links to prior coverage and materials, including a report by DL News on BlockDAG, a website presenting information about the project, and an earlier Business Insider article on Lanistar, another venture previously associated with Gurhan Kiziloz.
