After revealing a Bell’s palsy diagnosis, Crypto Rug Muncher reassured supporters of continued work on the project and DAO roadmap, as the CRM token briefly fell before partially recovering.
On October 20, Crypto Rug Muncher, the founder and public face of both the Crypto Rug Muncher project and its associated tokens, CRM token on Solana and the $cryptorugmunch token on Base, shared with the community via a post on X (formerly Twitter) that he had been diagnosed with Bell’s palsy. The condition is a neurological disorder that causes temporary paralysis or weakness of the facial muscles.
In the announcement, he described experiencing sudden facial paralysis, which led him to visit the emergency room. He confirmed the diagnosis and explained how the condition has temporarily impacted daily activities such as eating and speaking. Despite the medical setback, he assured the community of his continued involvement in the Crypto Rug Muncher project, albeit with a short delay in hosting an upcoming AMA session.
His message was framed as part of a broader commitment to transparency with the community, emphasizing that the update was not a withdrawal from responsibilities but simply a personal health disclosure.
CRM Token Price Dropped 30% Following Initial Post but Recovered After Clarification
Following the initial announcement, the CRM token experienced a noticeable price drop. Within two hours, the token fell by approximately 30%, declining from $0.0002907 to $0.0002042 on the Solana blockchain.
The price partially recovered later that day after Crypto Rug Muncher published a second post clarifying that his health condition does not affect his ability to continue working on the project. He explained that the disclosure was intended purely for transparency, not as a signal of reduced involvement.
Following that reassurance, the token rebounded to $0.0002574, reflecting partial market stabilization.
At the time of writing, the CRM token continues to hold momentum, trading at $0.0002714.
Crypto Rug Muncher’s DAO Roadmap: Long-Term Goals to Decentralize the CRM Token Project
In response to a public comment raising concerns about centralization, Crypto Rug Muncher responded that the project's long-term goal is to transition into a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). He explained that both of his crypto projects are committed to a “decentralization-first” approach, aiming to become community-led and capable of operating independently of any individual.
He also acknowledged the evolving nature of creator tokens and how the concept of project ownership and community participation has shifted over time. His reply signaled a belief that tokenized projects, when designed and managed correctly, can still align with the broader ethos of decentralization in the cryptocurrency space.
